- Read the motor label: model, voltage, RPM, power, capacitance and rotation arrow.
- Measure shaft diameter, shaft length and mounting hole spacing with a caliper.
- Photograph the wiring harness and note connector type and wire colors per speed tap.
- Check the blade hub bore diameter so the original blade can be reused.
